As a matter of faith, congregations across Indiana are showing how gleaning deep energy savings is simple and cost-effective. These Seventh Day congregations have committed to:

  • reducing their energy use by at least 25% and
  • engaging at least a third of their households to reduce by a seventh.
On average, the first thirteen have exceeded both these goals, cutting energy use in their houses of worship by 33%, freeing up funds for mission, strengthening their communities, and walking their creation care talk.

They also are inspiring a real difference in how Hoosiers of faith steward God's gift of resources. Across Indiana, their stories have been told in media and in workshops that teach participants how to do the same.
